Hello crafty friends, for this beauty of a card I used a brayer, gel press and dye ink reinkers in teal, navy, dark purple and dark yellow. I first put drops of each color onto the gel press, I then used the brayer to pick up those colors and rolled the brayer onto my piece of cardstock. I kept repeating this process until I was happy with the layers of colors on the cardstock. I let that dry and then used a watercolor brush to pick up some metallic watercolor paint and flicked that onto my background. I cut out the fancy cover plate die from the December 2021 Hero Arts kit and adhered that to the background panel. I didn’t want the sentiment to take away from the background at all so I kept it very small and stamped it on a piece of vellum with archival ink, this allowed for a very subtle looking sentiment yet still noticeable.

Supplies:
Gel Press, brayer, reinkers, black & white cardstock, refillable watercolor paintbrush, white metallic watercolor paint, Hero Arts Dec 2021 MMH Fancy Cover Plate Die, vellum, black archival ink
Instructions:
1: With the reinkers randomly put of a few drops of each color onto the gel press (dark yellow, teal, dark purple, navy blue)
2: roll the brayer into the ink on the gel press to pick up with the brayer (try not to mix the colors too much as they will get muddy)
3: roll the brayer onto cardstock, repeat until you are happy with the look of the cardstock. Let dry
4: use a refillable watercolor paintbrush to pick up some white metallic watercolor paint, splatter onto the background panel/white cardstock/, trim as needed
5: cut out the die cut in black cardstock, trim as needed, then glue it to the background panel
6: cut a small piece of vellum, stamp the sentiment on it, cut around the lettering and use small flat glue dots to adhere it to the panel
7: adhere the panel to a card base
