Two tone feature image

Hello crafty friends, I have been having so much fun with this months Club Sursee by Catherine Pooler. This is the 4th card I have made with the products from the deluxe monthly subscription. Seriously, the different things that one can do with the products is just amazing. All of the cards have a very different look from the next. This months Club Sursee came with 2 full size stamp sets and matching dies for both. I will add all of the cards I have made with the sets at the bottom of the post. But for now I will type about how I made this card.

The blended elephants are really what gives this card the WOW factor and it was super easy to do. I took 2 ink colors in hues that I liked … for example 2 pink undertones or 2 blue undertones, with a stamping platform I stamped the full elephant in the lightest color first (rose petals) then I inked the elephant up with the darker color but only on half (polished). Using a blending brush I blended out the 2nd color a little bit so a harsh line wouldn’t be too noticeable. That last step definitely worked better on the green elephant. I repeated the process with the 2nd elephant image and in Green Tea and sea Foam and then die cut both elephants. I used an embossing pen to fill in the decorative bits on the elephants and then heat embossed the pink elephant with Firey Fun Wow embossing powder and Wow Sea Glass on the green elephant, they are popped up with foam tape. The paper pad is from Catherine Poolers Spring Pick N Mix and I die cut a frame from the Just a Note – Note Card Bubble Frame dies also by Catherine Pooler. The flowers in the top left corner are fussy cut and from the same paper pack. The sentiment is stamped in Juniper Mist which ties in nicely to some of the flowers and the plaid frame.

I hope you have time to get crafty this week 🙂 Thanks for stopping by and I have linked relevant products used to create this card under the photos and a few others that I highly recommend and use all the time.
