Hi Friends, It is so fun and easy to create a shaker card and they look especially cool if you have stamps that you can stamp underneath your dies.
I started by cutting two identical sized pieces of cardstock and then laying my dies out on one of them in a pattern that I was happy with.

I ran that piece through my die cut machine and then laid it on top of the other piece of same sized cardstock that I had already cut. I put them into my stamping press.

And then lined up my stamps perfectly in the already cut out parts. By doing this I was able to have the back stamped piece be lined up perfectly to the top piece with the die cuts. I chose 3 colors that pair nicely for the foliage’s stamps colors.

I stamped a sentiment on the front of the die cut piece and then flipped it over and adhered acetate to it and then made foam tape pockets all around the leaves, these will keep the individual sequin colors in each leaf. I then added more foam tape around the outside and put coordinating colored sequins in the centers of the foam tape pockets that I had already created for them.

Lastly, I lined the top and bottom pieces up and adhered them together. Lining it up in a stamping platform helps to make it even

I created a custom card base and adhered the shaker panel to it and topped it off with a few coordinating sequins on the front of the card (they cover ink boo boos, shhhh!)
The stamps and die set that I used are by Catherine Pooler and are called Natural Flourishes, I also selected a combination of her inks that I felt gave this card more of a springtime vibe and they are In the Park, Coral Cabana and Tiara. Happy Crafting folks 🙂
