Catherine Pooler has done it again…. collaborated with Sizzex for a colorful gorgeous suite of products called ‘Everyday Whimsey’. There is a little bit of everything in this collection; shaped dies, stencils, stamps, sentiment dies, an embossing folder and when paired with the fabulous Catherine Pooler inks the sky is the limit.
For my card I started with the gorgeous flower stencil called ‘Happy Garden’ layered stencil and I used CP ink colors; It’s A girl, Tiara, Tiki Torch, Lime Rickey and Aquatini, with both big and small brushes. Once the panel was stenciled I trimmed it down to 4″ x 5.25″ and used the ‘Border Party Circle Framelit dies’ to cut a circle in the top center. The butterfly is stamped and die cut from the ‘Bright Butterflies’ stamps and dies. The sentiment is from the ‘Whimsy Bloom’ stamp set. I layered the stenciled panel onto the card front and popped the butterfly up in the middle of the circle with the sentiment beneath the butterfly also in the circle. I only glued down the center of the butterfly so that the wings can be popped up and 3D. This card reminds me of one of the butterfly specimens that you might see under glass. It’s pretty neat!!
