Everyday Whimsey – Shaker

Hello Crafty Lovelies,

I love interactive cards and could not resist making this shaker card. Part of the Catherine Pooler and Sizzex ‘Everyday Whimsey’ release is circle shaped dies called ‘Border Party Circles Framelits’ and they make it very easy to create shakers.

On the last card I showed you, there was a stenciled panel that I cut a circle out of but didn’t need that circle for that card. That circle is what lays at the bottom of this shaker, I also embossed it with the coordinating ‘Happy Garden 3D Texture Impressions’ embossing folder. The embossing offers very subtle texture, in part because it’s hiding under all of the gorgeous Catherine Pooler sequin mix bling. Out of white cardstock I blended a panel with Tiki Torch, Tiara and It’s A Girl and used 2 of the circles from the ‘Border Party Circle Framelits’ to cut that gorgeous circle frame, I adore how it turned out, looking all blended and beautiful. Cut a circle again out of a white card panel and taped the 2 together. Acetate was glued to the back of that panel and then popped the panel up with foam tape and overtop of sequins on to the layer underneath. Catherine Pooler inks were used to swink (swipe ink) onto white card stock and then die cut the sentiment from the ‘Exclamation Word Dies’ and layer in the 2 different colors.
